ShipCheck — Unity Release Intelligence
A downloadable tool for Windows
ShipCheck is a local, read-only release intelligence tool for Unity projects.
Before shipping a Unity project, ShipCheck scans the project folder and gives you a clear picture of its technical health, release readiness, project structure, and potential shipping problems — without opening Unity and without modifying your files.
KNOW WHAT WILL BREAK BEFORE YOU SHIP
ShipCheck helps answer questions like:
• Is this project actually configured to ship?
• Are there broken or unresolved references?
• Are required dependencies missing?
• Are unfinished or near-empty scenes part of the build?
• What parts of the project are actually shipping?
• Is this a 2D, 2.5D, 3D, or mixed project?
• How confident can we be in the release-readiness result?
WHAT SHIPCHECK ANALYZES
• Project Health
• Release Readiness
• Build configuration
• Enabled scenes
• Shipping dependency graph
• Missing dependencies
• Unresolved GUID references
• Near-empty or unfinished scenes
• Large assets and duplicate files
• First-party vs third-party content
• 2D / 2.5D / 3D project characteristics
• Content completeness signals
• Project structure and code evidence
CLEAR RELEASE STATES
ShipCheck can identify states such as:
• BLOCKED
• NOT CONFIGURED
• NOT READY
• REVIEW BEFORE SHIP
• LIMITED EVIDENCE
• STRONG EVIDENCE
Instead of pretending every Unity project can be reduced to a score, ShipCheck also tells you when there is not enough reliable static evidence to assign one.
ACTIONABLE FINDINGS
Every finding includes:
• Severity
• Scope
• Affected file or asset
• What was detected
• Why it matters
• Suggested action
• Shipping impact
You can filter findings by severity, scope, rule, or text and jump directly to affected folders.
PROJECT INTELLIGENCE
ShipCheck also builds a static picture of your Unity project, including:
• Unity version
• Build scenes
• Shipping topology
• Reachable assets
• First-party content boundary
• Content evidence
• Rendering technology
• Physics / interaction model
• 2D and 3D implementation signals
AI CONTEXT PACK
Large Unity projects can contain millions of characters of code, metadata, scene data, and configuration.
ShipCheck generates a compact AI Brief containing the most useful project intelligence, findings, topology, and release information.
Copy it into ChatGPT, Claude, Codex, or another coding assistant without uploading your entire project.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• Local processing
• Read-only analysis
• No project files are modified
• No cloud upload
• No telemetry
• No API key required
• No account required
WINDOWS
ShipCheck currently ships as a standalone Windows application.
Simply extract the ZIP, run ShipCheck.exe, choose a Unity project folder, and scan.
The selected folder should contain:
Assets
ProjectSettings
CURRENT VERSION
ShipCheck 0.8.0.2
This is the first public release. Feedback from real Unity projects is especially valuable as ShipCheck continues to expand its project intelligence and platform-specific preflight checks.
